The Beard Awards Are Messy (Again)
What happens when a chef calls out the system?
There’s lots of hullabaloo around the James Beard Foundation right now, and much of it has to do with the fact that the entirety of Massachusetts seems to be missing from their nominations list this year. The snub is salt on the wound that Boston has been nursing over claims by its haters that its food is bad (just Google “Boston has terrible food,” you’ll see what I mean). But it’s not the only city currently tangled in a tussle with the foundation.
