I’ve been in food media long enough to see right through a headline that promises “Recipes for When It’s Too Hot to Turn on the Oven.” These recipes somehow still always involve hovering over a boiling pot of water or sweatily chopping one million vegetables, which is not an experience I am seeking when the humidity is upwards of 75%.
