In the past 10 years, the idea of “pantry pasta,” a recipe you make when your fridge is bare and your pantry is full, has taken on a life of its own online. At every recipe website I’ve worked for, it was a reliable hit. When I was a social media manager, it was my saving grace when we arrived at the end of the month and hadn’t hit our Facebook click-through goals.
